Data deletion instructions

You can request permanent deletion of your Wire account and the personal data Wire holds. Deletion starts a 30-day grace period. During that window you can cancel in the app. After the grace period, Wire anonymises or deletes personal data it holds, except records we must keep for legal or regulatory reasons.

In the Wire app

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Delete account.
3. Read the 30-day notice, then confirm if you want to proceed.

You can also open Settings → Privacy → Delete account. If deletion is already scheduled, Privacy shows a banner with days left and a Cancel deletion action.

By email

Email support@wire.app from the address on your Wire account so we can confirm it is you. Ask us to delete your account. We will schedule the same 30-day process.
